The energy transition is a challenge for all economic players. There is an urgent need for a carbon-free economy, but we must ensure, in these profound changes, to protect the most vulnerable among us. To this end, Crédit Agricole is adopting a Climate Strategy in line with the Paris Agreement.

Developed in all its business lines, the strategy aims to gradually reallocate financing portfolios, investment portfolios and assets managed in the company to combat climate change while preserving social cohesion. Crédit Agricole aims to become the energy transition bank, with a goal of eliminating coal from the EU and the OECD by 2030 and by 2040 for the rest of the world, making green finance one of the Group’s keys to growth.
